This year 21 Scouts, 18 Cubs, 6 Beavers, 1 Young Leader and 9 Leaders who represented PG at last Sundays St Georges Day Parade. The object of the event is for all Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Leaders, plus Guides to renew their promise(s); To honour the Queen; St George (Who is the Patron Saint of Scouting and England); Robert Baden-Powell (The founder of Scouting) and to celebrate Scouting.
Over 800 people attended this year. We matched from the Town Hall car park via the Broadway and Queen Street, where the Deputy Mayor and Our MP Teresa May were at the Saluting base, before going to the Magnet, via the Sub Way, the Police could not stop the traffic on the A4.
