August 2006 - Report

Yet another term comes to an end with the youth members and families joining together for a walk and BBQ at Siblyback Lake. The leaders would like to thank all the people of the Parish of St Neot for the support they give the Group.

To operate the Scout Group we need to raise £ 2,000.00 per year to fund insurance, Scout membership, equipment, and help towards outings. The Group hold four major events each year the Plant Sale, Car Treasure Hunt & BBQ, Quiz Night and BBQ at Carnglaze Caverns Fireworks. Without these we could operate. The Group Executive and the Leaders who put in a great deal of effort and give their time free run these events.

In August 2007 we have three Scouts going to the 21st World Jamboree to do this we need to raise £ 3,600.00 on top of the normal funds. We are holding more events over this period and the monies raise are ring fenced for the jamboree. Publicity for each event will state what the money is for.

We still need Leaders, youth and committee members if you would like to know more about Scouting in St. Neot call Nick 01579 320776
