Scout Unit
Summer Expedition 2001
Thank you to everyone who helped the unit go on the expedition including all those who sponsored us for the London Ralleigh which was our main fundraiser for the expedition bringing in a total of around £400. Also thankyou to all those who bought a limited edition Expedition PG T-Shirt with their names printed on the back.
On July 20th 2001 the unit set off to Monmouth on the River Wye for the Summer Expedition. Unfortunately we camped on a commercial site due to the Foot and Mouth Crisis but nevertheless we enjoyed ourselves with a whole host of activities including; Kayaking, Abseiling, Swimming, Badminton, Go-KArting, Table Tennis, Raft Building, Rock Climbing, Canadian Canoeing and a whole days activities at the scout summer camp site.
All of us who went on the expedition are: Jon, Pete, Liz, Alexei, Bryn, Rob, Richard and Pete S. Thank you to Pete Smith and Richard Taylor for the transport down to the site.
