PG Christmas Fair With sparkling lights covering all the stands, we were put in the Christmas mood.
Wargrave Piggott Christmas Fair Christmas carols and mulled wine really pulled in the crowds. We had a stall with our hand-made Christmas Decorations, quiz sheets and toys. Many people already new about the Jamboree but those that didn't certainly do now! We received a lot of interest about our projects.

1st & 2nd September. A lovely sunny weekend spent relaxing in the attractive pub garden with a long cold drink - whilst watching the boys working !  Many thanks to Scouts - Tom and Richard Bennett, Tom and Josh Byrne, Alex Jones, James Kirk, Paul McCormack, Jon Sayer and Venture Jon Corbitt who joined us. Also thanks to the Landlord & his wife for inviting us to run this monthly event, & for supplying the wax shampoo & water jets.

August 2001
Car Wash at the Robin Hood
The Scouts certainly did work hard - the endless stream of cars (& rather large dirty vans) kept them busy! Many thanks to Akela, Adam Baker and Scouts - Robert Gledhill, David King, Jon Tagg, Grant & Miles Willett who joined us & rubbed & scrubbed tirelessly - their hands were very wrinkly at the end. Also thanks to the Landlord & his wife for inviting us to run this monthly event, & for supplying the wax shampoo & water jets.
Summer playscheme at Woodlands Park

The Scouts entertained the children on the last day of the playscheme.  All the children (including the Scouts) had a fun time in the party atmosphere !
Sarah & her friends at Courthouse School

The girls held a stall each breaktime for a week, selling cakes & biscuits, raffling prizes & running competitions like ‘guess the number of sweets in the jar’. Under school guidelines, stalls must be run to benefit a named charity, & the girls chose the PG Scouts Thailand Jamboree fund.

Congratulations goes to Oliver Styles on gaining a place as part of the Berkshire Contingent to the World Jamboree in Thailand
Oliver joins Lee Baker, Phillip Page, Luke Hoggarth and Chris Wilson who are representing PG   Maidenhead now has 14 places out of the 36 in the Berkshire unit.

May 2001
Berkshire is sending a Unit of 36 young people on the next world jamboree who will be aged between the ages of 14 and 17 on the 28th December 2002 and who are members of Scout Groups in Berkshire.
Out of the 36 places Pinkneys Green Scout Group has had 4 Scouts selected.
The 20th World Scout Jamboree will be held in Sattahip, Chanburi province, about 180 kms east of Bangkok. The camp site is located on a beautiful beach on the gulf of Thailand.
Those young people, who have been chosen to represent the county, will join thousands of other Scouts from across the world on this amazing International experience.

This site has been been set up to help raise the £11,000 needed to send 5 scouts from Pinkneys Green to the 20th World Scout Jamboree in Thailand. PG fund raising for this event includes 3 patrols from a Commonwealth country who are unable to make any payments.  Also, we will be subsidizing the sending of groups of Scouts from poorer countries. The site will be updated on a regular basis and it is hoped that there will be regular updates posted  from Thailand during the Jamboree.  Any surplus funds raised for this event will be used for scouting activities.
